It was the best time at 400mH for Angelo Taylor this season, and it was one-hundredth of a second from a win as well.
Angelo finished second at the Herculis Diamond League in Monte Carlo, Monaco, clocking a time of 47.79. He trailed only Bershawn Jackson.
Afterward, Jackson expressed some surprise at his opponent's ability to get out of the blocks.
I did not expect him to start that fast," Jackson said.
