In one of the more remarkable comebacks of the 2008 Beijing Games, Angelo has won the gold medal in the 400m hurdles.

Not even considered a potential contender in the race weeks ago, Angelo stunned the field on Monday night, winning in a time of 47.25 to lead an American sweep. Kerron Clement and Bershawn Jackson finished second and third respectively.
Angelo had nearly quit track several years ago after capturing the gold in the 2000 Sydney Games.
Instead, once again, he is an Olympic champion.
