Georgia County Honors AT

The honors for Angelo in his home state continue to come, and he continues to accept them with the humility that marked his Olympic performance.

As reported by the Atlanta Journal Constitution:

Olympic gold medalist and DeKalb County native Angelo Taylor will be honored this morning at the county commission meeting.

The former Southwest DeKalb and Georgia Tech star is scheduled to receive a proclamation from CEO Vernon Jones and commissioners during their regular meeting at the Maloof administration building in Decatur.

Taylor captured two gold medals in the Beijing Olympics, winning the 400-meter hurdles and running a leg of the winning 4x400 relay team.
