Could we be witnessing the comeback story of the Olympic Games? After Angelo clocked the fastest time in the 400m hurdles semis, the answer is yes.
In a season's best time of 47.94 seconds, Angelo defeated USA teammate Bershawn Jackson (who also ran his best time of the year while finishing second) in their semifinal heat. He also topped U.S. Olympian and 2007 world champion Kerron Clement's time of 48.27, which won the other semifinal race..
